Session 3: PLAYer Young (ages 8-12)  9:30AM-10:30AM

Session 5: Par      12:00PM-1:30PM

Which class should I register my child for?

The First Tee programming is designed to teach golf and life skills through progressive classes.

Juniors ages 4-8 should start out in the Little Legends program. 

All juniors ages 8-17 will need to start in the PLAYer level

If your child has previously participated in a The First Tee class, please contact the program director who will help you figure out which class is appropriate for your child.

How do I Register? 

Come by The  First Tee Richmond to fill out a registration form and submit payment at the

front desk of The First Tee of Richmond. Or go to www.thefirstteerc.org  to fill out a

registration form online. You can then either mail a check (made out to The First Tee) or

come by in person to submit payment. The address is 400 School Street Richmond, VA.

Please ask for two receipts, one for your files and one to be attached to the registration

form. If a receipt does not accompany a registration form, you will have  no proof of

payment.  

Financial assistance for registration costs is available to families in need

Regular Season (March-November) First Tee Certification Classes

Description of classes:
Little Legends: for participants ages 5-8. They will be introduced to golf mechanics, rules and etiquette. The main focus in this program is safety on the golf course. 
Total cost for 8 sessions is $40
PLAYer: All juniors aged 8-17 who are new to The First Tee must start at the PLAYer level.  This level teaches golf skills on the golf course. It is designed to make the course a comfortable place. 
Total cost for 8 sessions is $50. 
Par: is the second level of The First Tee programming.  This level incorporates life skills into golf activities. This level will focus on interpersonal communication and gaining confidence in golf skills. 
Total cost for 10 sessions is $65. 
Birdie: is for juniors who have passed the Par level and are at an intermediates to advanced skill level. This level will focus on goal setting in life and in golf. participants will learn to set achieavible goals and the the strps needed to reach those goals. 
Total cost for 10 sessions is $65. 
Eagle: is for participants who have passed the Birdie level and are at an advanced golf skill level. This level will focus on self-management and resistance skills and will help participants use golf to enhance their futures. 
Total coast for 10 sessions is $65. 
Ace: level is designed for participants who have passed the Eagle level and are at an advanced golf skill level. This level will focus on peer mentoring and advanced goal setting. Pariticpants will focus on how they can continue golfing in college or in their future careers. Total cost for 10 session is $65.
